A video has emerged of a driverless train in London zooming [sic] along the
tracks with one of its doors wide open.

It shows a Docklands Light Railway train proceeding towards Bank station in
the centre of the capital at what appears to be full speed to the alarm of
passengers on board.

The twelve-second clip was posted by John Nicoll, 36, a theatrical stage
manager who lives in Greenwich.

He told The Telegraph: “We had stopped at Limehouse and then Shadwell for a
bit longer than we should. I thought a passenger alarm had been hit.

“We left Shadwell and as we turned to go onto the Bank line a moment or two
later the train suddenly stopped.

“I didn’t see it [the door] open so it could’ve been why we ground to a
halt. It wasn’t until we were moving again that the man opposite me and I
noticed it.”

Passenger trains are designed to automatically apply the emergency brakes
if a door opens while the train is moving.

“I had my headphones on so it was the breeze which got my attention,”
explained Mr Nicoll.

“Then a minute later we started moving and the door opened as we
continued,” he said. “It either opened and that is why we stopped or it
opened when we restarted.”

“Everyone in our carriage saw it so didn’t move until we were at the
platform at Bank.”

Clearly operating in India Mode.

Just shows no safety systems are fullproof.
