You have to wonder what utter plank thought it would be a great idea to leave
it out in the open unattended overnight.
According to the TFA, it happened while they were held at a signal at
Latchmere Junction. I don't think there's much that can be done to protect
stock in transit - they're not nuclear flasks.
Do you believe that? Just how long was that signal red for? I know graffiti
artists can work quick but not that quick and what were they doing , just
hanging around waiting for a train to stop? Maybe, but I'd take it with some
face saving pinch of salt given there's no sign of it in the other videos.
Possibly on the other side of the train I guess.

The incident is understood to have taken place at Latchmere Junction, near
Clapham, while the train was in transit from Siemens Mobility UK in Goole,
Yorkshire.
Chris Date, a train enthusiast from Sussex, wrote on X, formerly Twitter,
that the train was forced to stop for 20 minutes in an area “known as a
hotspot for graffiti” to allow Overground trains to pass.
Mr Date claimed that TfL had “requested a clear run”, which was allegedly
denied by Network Rail. The train is understood to have already been
cleaned of the graffiti on its arrival at the depot.
Matt Willis, an agency rail worker, wrote on X: “You wonder how these
people gain access to ‘secure’ premises.”
