I specifically googled tube closures for this w/e. Nothing came up. This
w/e the district line is closed completely buggering up our trip.

Wtf is wrong with this organisation? It seems to be run for their benefit
rather than the publics.

They sent me an email on Thursday, which, among other things, told me
that there would be no service on the District between Edgware
Road/Embankment and Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia), Richmond
and Wimbledon today or tomorrow.

Blame Neil Robertson, not TfL:

Well it didn't come up when I googled it on thursday so perhaps they need to
improve their metadata when the crawler comes along.

I never had you down as somebody who used a search engine when they
surely already where to find the required information.

To be honest, I think it's as much a reflection that these days Google is
completely fucking useless, and getting worse rather than better. I

That said, when I Google "are there any closures on the Tube this weekend"
I do get the relevant page as the top hit, so...

Or more simply, Google "TfL Status". Sometimes less is better.

Or rather, less is "the same". I don't think I'm going to miss the roughly
5 seconds longer it took to type mine ;-).

[Although I am slightly depressed to learn, from an online typing test,
that I only type about 80 WPM these days. I could easily manage 120 WPM
when I was younger...]
